The Andersons Inc. acquires Kay Flo Industries

The Andersons, Inc. has purchased Kay Flo Industries, a manufacturer of plant nutrients based in North Sioux City, South Dakota.

Andersons’ officials says the acquisition is consistent with their plans to expand their wholesale and specialty fertilizer business.

Kay-Flo, through its Nutra-Flo division, manufactures liquid starter fertilizers and micronutrient enriched plant nutrients. Officials say the animal nutrient portions of Kay Flo have been separated and are not part of the acquisition.
