Groups urge Congress to support ag technology

Programs ICONDozens of agriculture and related groups are urging Congress not to support any budget or appropriations amendments “that would directly or indirectly undermine ag producers’ access to technology.” The coalition opposes any effort to restrict or thwart the commercial development of modern plant or animal ag applications, including those that use biotechnology.

The coalition is made up of groups including:  The Agricultural Retailers Association, the American Farm Bureau Federation, the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association, Iowa State University, the Missouri Agribusiness Association, the Ohio Agribusiness Association, South Dakota Pork Producers’, the National Association of State Associations of Agriculture, the University of Missouri and the University of Nebraska.
