Earlier this week, Bill Oemichen announced he is going to retire as president and CEO of Cooperative Network later this year.  The association serves more than 400 cooperatives in Wisconsin and Minnesota but many of those like CHS and Land O’Lakes reach far beyond the two states.  In his 14 years at the helm; Oemichen has seen the organization’s member-cooperatives grow significantly and with it, a significant increase in the number of top-quality jobs that are available.  He says it is getting increasingly difficult to find people to fill those jobs.

 

Cooperative Network will begin the search for a new president and CEO shortly.  Oemichen’s retirement will be effective October 16^th.
