Major Midwest retail chain to sell E15

kum & goOne of the Midwest’s largest convenience store chains says it will begin offering E15 as a fuel option.

Iowa-based Kum & Go will begin selling E15 at its Windsor Heights, Iowa location on April 30th.  Over the next two years, the company says it plans to make E15 available at more than 65 stores across Iowa, Nebraska, Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.

The EPA has approved E15—a blend of 15 percent ethanol and 85 percent gasoline—for use in vehicles manufactured since 2001. However, E15 is currently only available at 120 locations in the U.S.

Kum & Go has 430 convenience stores in 11 states.  It is the fifth largest privately held, company-operated convenience store chain in the United States.
