Midwest Dairy Association elects leadership

MDA officers

 

The board of directors for Midwest Dairy Association has elected officers.  Jerry Messer or Richardton, North Dakota will serve another term as corporate chairman.  Also re-elected were vice chairman Allen Merrill of Parker, South Dakota and first vice chairman Bill Siebenborn of Trenton, Missouri.  Ken Herbranson of Clitherall, Minnesota will serve as secretary and Dan Grunhovd of Gary, Minnesota is treasurer.

Divisional representatives elected to the corporate board include:

  • David Jarden, Staunton, Ill.;
  • Al Steffens, Clermont, Iowa;
  • Tom Walsh, DeGraff, Minn.;
  • Rita Young, Plainview, Minn.;
  • Mary Temme, Wayne, Neb.;
  • Kenton Holle, Mandan, N.D.;
  • Marv Post, Volga, S.D.;

 

Lowell Mueller of Hooper, Nebraska will represent MDA on the United Dairy Industry Association board replacing Doug Nuttleman of Nebraska who stepped-down earlier this year.  Mueller joins Messer, Pam Bolin of Iowa and Christine Sukalski and Suzanne Vold of Minnesota on the UDIA board.

Division chairs are:

  • lllinois Division: Bill Deutsch, Sycamore;
  • Iowa Division: Dan Hotvedt, Mabel, Minn.;
  • Mo-Kan Division: Byron Lehman, Newton, Kan.;
  • Minnesota Division: Ken Herbranson, Clitherall;
  • Nebraska Division: Lowell Mueller, Hooper;
  • North Dakota Division: Jerry Messer, Richardton;
  • Ozarks Division: Nathan Roth, Mountain Grove, Mo.;
  • South Dakota Division: Jim Neugebauer, Dimock;

 

Midwest Dairy Association is a non-profit organization funded by checkoff dollars from dairy farmers in a 10-state region, including Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma
