Missouri Congressional delegates speak against WOTUS
Two of Missouri’s U.S. House members who are co-sponsors of a bill to block the EPA’s proposed Waters of the U.S. rule were on the bank of the Missouri River Monday at Jefferson City. Republican Vicky Hartzler tells Brownfield the proposed rule would result in farmers potentially having to get federal permits to build a fence or a pond or to apply crop protection products.
“We don’t want that, so our bill forces the EPA to rescind the rule and it also requires them to go back to the drawing board to work with the local and state stakeholders and develop a new rule that will clarify who has jurisdiction and make sure it will involve local people,” said Hartzler, following a news conference at the side of the Missouri River.
Republican Blaine Luetkemeyer says the rulemaking is invalid because if doesn’t follow procedures.
“In my judgment, they don’t have the authority to, by rule, change law,” Luetkemeyer told Brownfield Ag News Monday, “and they don’t have the authority to circumvent the rules process, the process that’s in place, to make a proposed rule.”
EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy said at the National Farmers Union Convention last month that the new rule will clarify the jurisdiction of Waters of the U.S.
“We’re thinking through ways to be way more specific about how we protect some of the nation’s regional treasures,” said McCarthy.
The bill to block the EPA WOTUS rulemaking was passed by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee last Wednesday.

I agree that the EPA is going way beyond what it is supposed to be doing. The EPA has no power to pass laws or establish rules that by any other name would be laws.
More important at this time is stopping Obama from getting TPA and being able to fast-track agreements touted as being “free trade” agreements. Currently, special interests are negotiating the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnerships (TTIP), both of which have little or nothing to do with trade.
BOTH will, when implemented, take control of everything that is done in the United States and the other countries involved. Our government will be minimized and our Constitution diluted to the point of having no impact or influence.
These agreements are aimed at taking away the ability of countries to self-govern and in the process steal their sovereignty. What these agreements will do is allow Big Banks, Big Businesses, and Special Interest groups lobbyists to sit at the table when all trade negotiations take place. Lobbyists will, in fact, be able to make new laws that do not have to be passed or approved by our, or the governments of other member countries.

Finance Committee is full of propaganda being promoted by the Establishment politicians who are helping to lead the U.S. down the path to destruction. The TPP and TTIP will not bring jobs to America for anyone. What they will do is bring thousands of workers from Third World countries here to leave Americans out of our economy and make them part of the welfare state these so called trade agreements will make of all member countries.
The 28 countries of the European Union were hoodwinked through secretly negotiated “trade agreements” and the woke up one morning under the control of an appointed control group which is now stationed in Brussels. Most laws, rules and regulations impressed upon citizens of all 28 countries come from Brussels and the citizens don’t like it, but, can do nothing about it.
Should Obama finalize these agreements we will become like part of the EU and live under the thumb of an appointed control group who will have the power, using a court system set up through TTP and TTIP, to sue governments that appear to act in ways not to the benefit of “members”. This is how sovereignty will be destroyed. Businesses will be able to control everything a government tries to do.
Please stop listening to Establishment politicians that care for nothing but perpetuating their rule of us by being reelected. If we are able to hold elections in 2016 be darn sure that not a single person is reelected.
The Constitution does not provide for, or intend for their to be, reelections. Why, because the Framers knew well that men are weak and will fall to temptations to which they are exposed over time for which there are no penalties for abuse. We are there now, our government has run amok and must be pulled back to the Constitution.
We were given the Second Amendment for this express purpose. The Framers knew that should our government run amok it would take bloody revolt to set things back in order. We were all passed the “responsibility” to keep arms and be always prepared to use them to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Our Constitution is now in danger from the unholy threats that will be forced upon us by the TPP and TTIP.
Do not allow Congress to approve these unholy alliances that are being negotiated in secret in the dark of night which they have neither read or understand. WE can see what happens when they “pass it now and learn what is in it later.” WE know that Obama lies every time he turns around and can’t be trusted with anything. We also know that Congress is filled with gutless wonders that will not speak or act against him. I bet they are afraid, what do you think? Are they patriots or cowards? I bet on the cowards choice.
Vicky Hartzler believes the garbage being handed out by the Establishment and since she has been purposely mislead to believe the propaganda which will lead to the destruction of everything America.
A couple of clues you need to watch are the Hillary Clinton fiasco and the story being brought to light about Russia being given the right to 20 percent of the uranium produced in America. Do you think Putin is passing it on to Iran? I do. We don’t have enough uranium now to run our reactors for electricity why was Russian given this right by Obama in 2010?
Ask the answer lady, Vicky Hartzler. In my opinion, she can’t see the bad for wanting to see the good and by so doing protect her “career” from possible repercussions. A paper tiger.
