New Missouri FFA President from Trenton

Adam Kirby MO FFA President_EDITThe 87th Missouri FFA Convention is in full gear in Columbia, Missouri. The theme of this year’s convention is Show Me Opportunity, Discover Success.

New FFA President Adam Kirby with Trenton FFA says he’s excited about the year ahead and the continued role of young people in agriculture. Kirby tells Brownfield, “FFA is helping to lead the industry. So, we’re challenging the youth and the youth are the ones becoming the new agriculturalists through the movement – the individuals agvocating and continuing on to become farmers. So, that’s what I think I’m looking forward to the most.” Kirby’s a senior at Trenton High School, having grown up working with beef cattle and row crops on his family farm, with his sights on biochemistry at the University of Missouri.

Leon Busdieker_EDITMissouri FFA Advisor Leon Busdieker says he has a LOT of confidence in this group of young people. He tells Brownfield Ag News,“I’m amazed at what talents these young people have – just with a little bit of direction – plant the seed and watch it grow. They’re going to do some great things.” Busdieker says Missouri FFA continues to grow with five new chapters already this year.
