Four more commercial turkey farms in Minnesota have been infected with avian influenza. The US Department of Agriculture and Minnesota Board of Animal Health reported Thursday flocks in Ottertail, Roseau, Kandiyohi and Stearns Counties have been affected.

That brings the total number of cases in the state to 26 in 14 different counties affecting over 1.6 million birds.

The Board of Animal Health says all affected farms remain under quarantine.

The Minnesota Department of Public Health reports no human infections and that avian flu is not a public health or food safety risk.
