A visit to China’s largest city, Chongqing

When you think of large cities in China, Shangai and Beijing usually come to mind.  But the largest city in China is actually Chongqing with a population of 32 million people.  That’s just a few million shy of the entire population of California.

During our visit to Chongqing with the Iowa Soybean Association trade mission, we spent some time in Ciqikou Old Town, a popular destination for young and old alike.  There are several blocks of small shops and food stands, including many kinds of “food on a stick”.  Here is a small sampling of what we saw.
