Verdesian is about plant health and nutrition

Verdesian Life Sciences went on an acquisition spree upon opening their doors in 2012, in a quest to improve plant health for growers.  Ryan Bond, Vice President of Marketing and Technical Development, says the North Carolina-based company that now owns SFP, wants to improve plant health for growers.  According to Bond, Verdesian is aiming to drive Nitrogen and Phosphorus efficiency.

Bond tells Brownfield the rule of thumb for Nitrogen is that it’s about 50% efficient.   NutriSphere-N Nitrogen Fertilizer Manager and Avail Phosphorus Fertilizer Enhancer are two products that he says will help growers be more efficient.  He recognizes with low commodity prices and fertilizer being one of the biggest expenses, that efficiency is something farmers will probably be striving for.

Verdesian also boasts seed treatments and inoculants; legacy products that Bond says could be coupled with their fertilizer products to maximize efficiency.  To find out more about the products from Verdesian, visit their website at www.vlsci.com.
