New label for grass fed meat

There’s a new label for consumers wanting to purchase grass-fed meat. Andrew Gunther, program director of Animal Welfare Approved says they wanted to give consumers assurances they might not get otherwise. He says their Certified Grass Fed label goes beyond USDA standards for grass-fed meat.

The AWA says in the U.S., L6 Cattle Co in New Mexico, Hawaii Lowline Cattle in Hawaii and D Central Farms in Illinois have officially been Certified Grassfed by AWA.
