Farm to School Act of 2015

Ohio Farm to School Program (1)_web

Legislation to expand the USDA’s Farm to School grant program has been introduced.

Congresswoman Marcia Fudge (D-OH) and Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE) have introduced the Farm to School Act for 2015. The legislation not only expands participation in the program, the legislation also increases annual funding from $5 million to $15 million.

“I have seen enthusiastic support for the Farm to School program among schools in my Ohio district and the benefits are undeniable.  Access to nutritious, locally grown foods gives our children a healthy start in life,” said Congresswoman Fudge.

Senators Patrick Leahy of Vermont and Thad Cochran of Mississippi have introduced identical legislation in the U.S. Senate.

  • This Obama-like waste of money proves that Republicans are frequently as bad as or worse than Democrats about following the envouge social babble trends despite the benefits being unprovable and the costs unjustifiable.
