CNH Nebraska plant announces layoffs

cnh grand islandCNH Industrial, maker of Case IH and New Holland farm equipment, says it will lay off 136 full-time workers at its Grand Island, Nebraska manufacturing plant.

The company says the layoffs are in response “to market conditions”.

According to the Grand Island Independent, the indefinite layoffs are expected to begin in May and be completed by July at the Grand Island facility.

The announcement was made by CNH Industrial America. Three types of combines are produced at the Grand Island plant — the New Holland CR, Case IH 2300 and Case IH AFX 8010—according to the CNH website.
