A new approach to parasite control in cattle

At the recent Cattle Industry Convention in San Antonio, we visited with Dr. Tony Moravec, technical services veterinarian with Merial, about their LONGRANGE product.

LONGRANGE is the first extended-release injectable cattle dewormer that provides cattle producers season-long persistent parasite control for 100 to 150 days in a single dose, dependent on parasite species.

Moravec says LONGRANGE gives cattle producers a new way to think about parasite control.

“There’s still a large number of producers, particularly the cow-calf guys, that don’t deworm in the spring,” Moravec says, “and that’s largely because we’ve never had a product like LONGRANGE before, that lasts as long as it does.”
