Cattlemen facing big issues
Colin Woodall, Vice President of Government Affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) says when it comes to the big issues facing cattlemen, they are similar, state-by-state.
“When you look at the big issues of trade, taxes, environmental regulations, animal activists you see common themes state-to-state, which is a good thing because that means we can all work together to fight these bigger problems,” Woodall said. “Of course each state has some of their own individual concerns that we also help with, but I would say when you look at all the priorities for NCBA right now, they are very national in nature.”
Woodall says those big issues, trade, taxes, environmental regulations, will be discussed in more detail during the NCBA’s annual meeting February 4-7 in San Antonio.
Woodall spoke with Brownfield while in Ohio for the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association Annual Meeting.
