Cowan to lead American Soybean Association

The Board of Directors of the American Soybean Association (ASA) has confirmed Wade Cowan from Brownfield, Texas, as its newest President and moved outgoing President Ray Gaesser from Corning, Iowa, to the position of Chairman. Board members also elected Richard Wilkins, Greenwood, Delaware, to serve as First Vice President. That places Wilkins in line to be the association’s president in 2016.

Also elected to form ASA’s nine-member executive committee were Secretary Ron Moore, Illinois; Treasurer Davie Stephens, Kentucky; Vice Presidents Kevin Hoyer, Wisconsin; Bret Davis, Ohio; Joe Steinkamp, Indiana and John Heisdorffer, Iowa.

 

New members to the ASA board are Kendall Culp, Indiana; Wayne Fredericks, Iowa; E.L. Reed, Missouri; Brooks Hurst, Missouri; Bill Wykes, Illinois; Willard Jack, Mississippi; Monte Peterson, North Dakota;  Joel Schreurs, Minnesota and George Goblish, Minnesota.
