National FFA elects new officers
Andy Paul, an ag education major at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College from Georgia is the organization’s new president. He says there are so many FFA experiences that have prepared him for the upcoming year. “But being around my friends and having the opportunity to really grow through this organization and prove to everybody that it doesn’t matter your background, doesn’t matter your stature or your size,” he says. “Where ever you’re from, whoever you are you do have the opportunity to be in this organization and do great things.”

Newly elected secretary Victoria Maloch of Arkansas was in the exact same position at this time last year. “I ran for national office last year and was one of those people who didn’t have their name called,” she says. “But what when through my head was that no matter what six names were called this organization was going to be served well. I was happy for all my fellow candidates.”
