Sandeen named chancellor at Wisconsin
Dr. Cathy Sandeen has been named the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Colleges and U.W. Extension. Sandeen has been vice president for Education Attainment and Innovation at the American Council on Education in Washington D.C. since 2012. Prior to that she served as dean of Continuing Education for UCLA Extension from 2006 to 2012.
She holds a Ph.D in communication from the University of Utah, MBA in management from UCLA, master’s in broadcast communication from San Francisco State and a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology from Humboldt State University.
Dr. Sandeen step into her new job on December 15th, she succeeds Ray Cross who became U.W. System president last February. Aaron Brower has been serving as interim chancellor.
