PJs and Eggs

banner2PJs and Eggs, a funding raising event sponsored by Ohio’s egg farmers and 10 Columbus restaurants to benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital set a new record with participants donating over $500 in monetary contributions and 1,269 pairs of pajamas.

“PJs and Eggs offers a unique opportunity for families to support a great cause while wearing their pajamas and enjoying their favorite breakfast dishes for dinner at restaurants typically closed during the evening hours,” said Jim Chakeres, executive vice president of the Ohio Poultry Association. “We are pleased to see the event grow and to connect diners with the farmers who produce the wholesome, nutritious eggs they consume every day.”

In its third year, PJs and Eggs has raised more than $3,200 and over 3,000 pairs of pajamas for Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

PJ donors also received a dozen eggs from Ohio’s egg farmers.

Central Ohio restaurants that participated in PJs and Eggs included the five Sunny Street Café Columbus locations, Beechwold Diner, Café Creekside, Gena’s Restaurant, Jack & Benny’s, and Lilly’s Kitchen Table.
