Another Nebraska county is ‘Livestock Friendly’
Knox County is Nebraska’s newest county to receive the “Livestock Friendly County” designation through the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.
Knox County is the 28th county to receive that designation.
The Livestock Friendly classification demonstrates a county’s commitment to rural economic development through livestock production. To receive the designation, the county board must hold a public hearing and pass a resolution to apply. A completed application is then submitted to the Department of Agriculture for review.
