EPA to register Dow Enlist Duo

Programs ICONThe Environmental Protection Agency says it is registering Dow AgroSciences’ Enlist Duo herbicide containing 2,4-D and Glyphostate.

The product is for use in controlling weeds in corn and soybeans genetically engineered to tolerate those herbicides.

The EPA says the product has met safety standards for registration and there is “reasonable certainty of no harm” to human health.

This is the third time the EPA has evaluated the safety of 2,4-D.

The product is being registered in six states:  Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Comments will be accepted on whether register Enlist Due in 10 more states including Missouri, Nebraska and North Dakota – through November 14th.
