AgSource opens Marshfield lab

AgSource Scott   Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Scott Larson presides over the festivities AgSource cut the ribbon on their new laboratory in Marshfield, Wisconsin on Thursday.  The new location provides three-times the space of the former Stratford lab.  The lab does milk and dairy analysis, food and product analysis, food and environmental analysis and water and environmental testing.   AgSource HelmsEric Helms is Vice President, Laboratory Management, he says their primary business is milk testing for cheese factories and dairy plants.  The new facility allowed them to upgrade the equipment used in that testing which means, “now we can have a test result same-day.”  And even faster in an emergency situation.  Customers have access to their test results on-line. The larger facility will also allow them to expand their other testing services including food safety, pathogen, and water and wastewater analysis.  They have a staff of 32 highly-skilled professionals including nine route drivers who pick-up samples; “People that are very attentive to details, processes and procedures with the end goal of providing the best test results to our customers.”   Helms talks about the lab:
