Three peat for Ohio State Livestock Judging team

For the third year in a row, the Ohio State University Livestock Judging Team won the Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE) Collegiate Livestock Judging contest this past weekend.

The team from Ohio State swept the team awards winning each species and oral reasons.

Four OSU students finished in the Top 10 overall.

Lydia Ulry of Johnstown won the contest and was high individual in beef cattle and swine judging, Courtney Tarvin, Mt. Olivet, Kentucky, placed fourth, Tonya Fender of Lynchburg was fifth and Jacob Ruffing of Republic was sixth. Levi Criswell of Marion finished 11th. Fender and Megan Hunker of Bellevue posted the highest total reasons scores. Zach Bartenslager of Lewisburg, West Virginia placed sixth in beef cattle and Cody Shafer of Eaton was third in sheep judging.

The judging team will compete in the Stockman at Auburn, Indiana, the American Royal in Kansas City and the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) in Louisville yet this fall.
