Another record for ag college enrollment at Iowa State

For the third consecutive year, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University has set a new enrollment record.

The college’s fall semester enrollment is 5,205, which is 222 students more than the previous year.  Undergraduates total nearly 4,500.  The college’s undergrad enrollment has grown 25 percent since the fall of 2011 and is up 83 percent over the past 10 years.

Officials says the figures reflect a continuing high demand for graduates in agricultural and life science careers.  The college’s placement rate for recent grads has been 97 percent or higher for 17 consecutive years.
