Hurst new Missouri Corn president

Missouri Corn Growers Association has a new leadership team. Kevin Hurst, a grower in Northwest Missouri, near Tarkio, is the association’s new president for 2014/2015. Hurst tells Brownfield Ag News, “The past presidents have been very good and set the bar pretty high. But, I’m really looking forward to that opportunity and know there will be lots of challenges but we’ll plow ahead, full steam ahead.”

Hurst wants to see more movement in the state on E-15, “I would love to see us get some stations using E-15 but I think there’s going to be some challenges. The price of corn has been reduced so much and we’ve got such a big crop we’re going to have to figure out what to do with all this corn.”

Gary Porter of Mercer is Vice President of the Missouri Corn Growers Association and Secretary/Treasurer is Greg Schneider of Warrenton, Missouri.
