Purdue reaches milestone at FSR

Purdue University is celebrating 10 years at Farm Science Review.

Jason Henderson, director of Purdue Extension says it’s been a great partnership with Ohio State.

“For us it was just a natural extension of what we were doing,” said Henderson. “The connections we have, that’s really the strength of Cooperative Extension and the Land Grant University system.”

Henderson says the FSR partnership has transcended in other ways too.

“Whether you look at it on an individual researcher basis in animal science or plant science doing different things, our Community Development staff have worked together and this summer had a joint retreat talking about different aspects of how do you make stronger communities in rural America, focusing on Indiana and Ohio,” the Purdue director of Extension said. “For us it’s been a great working relationship.”
