Illinois youth receives Ag Youth Award
A Lanark, Ill., youth received a 2014 Brownfield Ag Youth Award from partner radio affiliate WCCI 100.3 FM.
Skyler Barncord, son of Lisa Sherman and John Barncord, received the Ag Youth Award belt buckle during the 4-H Livestock Auction at the Carroll County (Illinois) Fair.
Skyler is a basketball player and 2014 graduate of Eastland High School. He plans to immediately go to work on the family farm and eventually wants to manage day-to-day operations. He credits what he has learned in the classroom and on the farm with making him a more well-rounded person.
