Missouri Corn Growers on Amendment 1

Missouri Corn Growers Association and other ag groups are counting on support of voters today to get Amendment One – farming rights – passed and added to the state Constitution.  Today is election day.  But, opponents say the amendment will increase the ability of so-called “big ag” to flout the law.

The corn growers association says:  ‘Campaign finance reports indicate the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has contributed $500,000 (cash and in-kind) to oppose Amendment 1, representing 81 percent of opponents’ total contributions.’
