New weed-fighting technologies are on the way

It’s been said that the effectiveness and wild popularity of glyphosate and the Roundup Ready trait over the past twenty years caused many chemical companies to back off on research and development of new chemistries for weed control. But as concerns with glyphosate resistance in weeds have increased, it appears that many of those companies are now intensifying their R&D efforts.

Dr. Ed Anderson, senior director of supply and production systems with the Iowa Soybean Association, believes weed-fighting help is on the way.
