Two Iowa youths receive Ag Youth Awards

Edan Lambert and Mitchal Punt Two Sioux County 4-H participants received 2014 Brownfield Ag Youth Awards from KSOU-FM in Iowa.

KSOU-FM partnered with Brownfield Ag News to offer this year’s award.

Recipients Edan Lambert of Orange City, Iowa, and Mitchal Punt of Maurice, Iowa, were nominated for outstanding 4-H work.

Lambert shows livestock and participates in communication events. The 2013 Fair Queen is also active in the Holland Windmills Club and Sioux county Youth Council. Lambert wants to be a large animal veterinarian.

Punt shows sheep, dogs and poultry, and was involved in mechanical engineering projects, with a special interest in trucks. He is a member and past officer of the Sioux Stockmen 4-H Club. He plans to attend the Diesel Mechanics program at Northwest Iowa Community College and eventually wants to own a trucking business.
