Ohio Cattlemen’s Association Best of the Buckeye Scholarships due June 15

Pursing a degree in agriculture or a related field? Then check out the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association Best of the Buckeye program.

Academic scholarships in the amount of $1,000 are available to high school juniors and seniors pursuing a post-high school degree.

Eligible nominations for Best of the Buckeye are registered cattle that were calved in Ohio. ET calves and calves out of purchased bred heifers or cows are eligible if they were purchased from an in-state breeder and calved in Ohio. Breeders and exhibitors must be OCA members and in good standing with OCA to be eligible. Exhibitors must an Ohio resident and meet the age requirements for the Ohio Beef Expo and Ohio State Fair junior shows.

Applications are due June 15, 2014.
