USDA says no corn planted in Ohio

With less than a day suitable for fieldwork last week, not much was accomplished in Ohio.

The Ohio field office of the National Ag Statistics Service (NASS) says that as of Sunday, April 13, no corn had been planted, the five year average is two percent.

Six percent of the oats crop has been planted, well behind the 5-year average planting pace of 32 percent.

Five percent of the winter wheat is jointing. 85 percent of the wheat is in fair-to-good condition.

Topsoil moisture in the state remains at 100 percent adequate to surplus.
