Ground broken for New Holland Pavilions

New Holland Pavilion

Ground was broken Friday at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison for the New Holland Pavilions. With the Midwest Horse Fair completing its run on Sunday, construction will begin on the $24 million project to replace the current barns with two multi-use buildings. The two new structures are to be completed for the start of World Dairy Expo on September 29th.

One pavilion will cover 90,000 square feet with the New Holland reception area, it will stand right across the street to the north of the Expo Hall and be similar in design to give a continuity to the campus. The second building will be behind the first to the west covering 200,000 square feet and house a double-12 Bou Matic milking parlor. Both buildings will feature 15-feet of clearance inside and feature a positive-pressure air flow system. The smaller building will be heated.”

Dane County, the State of Wisconsin, World Dairy Expo, Midwest Horse Fair/Wisconsin Horse Council, Centerplate, New Holland and BouMatic have all contributed to the construction project.
