Brooks named to Ag/Nat. Resources Subcomm.

Franklin County (Ohio) Commissioner Paula Brooks appointed by President Obama to serve on the Climate Preparedness and Resilience Taskforce in 2013 has been assigned to the Agriculture and Natural Resources subcommittee.

Brooks tells Brownfield that in her role she’ll be gathering input from around the state.

“Looking for suggestions,” Brooks said. “Pragmatic, common sense suggestions about how the federal government can really get us prepared given what we all know, whether working for a utility company, in agriculture or even in a retail shop, we know have these weather events that are coming quicker and closer together and how we’re going to work together and be better prepared for those and bounce back right away.”

Brooks says the Taskforce is to have a report to the President by November.
