Midwest Dairy internship, scholarships applications due next month

Students have just a few more weeks to show their interest in an internship with Midwest Dairy Association.

Several scholarship deadlines are also fast-approaching.

Internships

Two Midwest Dairy Association divisions are still accepting applications for internships. Applications for both are due March 1, 2014.

Illinois

The summer internship is located in or near Springfield, Illinois and requires extensive travel. Eligible participants must be at least 18 years of age and be a student in Illinois or from a permanent residence within Midwest Dairy Association territory. Preference will be given to those possessing strong communication and organizational skills. The candidates need not be from a dairy farm, but those with knowledge of the dairy industry are preferred.

Iowa

The Iowa summer internship is awarded to a college student interested in communications, public relations, marketing, food science or agribusiness. Interns must be able to relocate near Ankeny and be able help Midwest Dairy at the Iowa State Fair. The intern must be a student or a permanent resident in Midwest Dairy’s 10-state area, which includes Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
