IBA offers several scholarships

Scholarship applications are due in March for a $3,000 award through the Illinois
Beef Association.

The scholarship is in memory of past IBA Executive Vice President Maralee Johnson and her commitment to the beef and agriculture industry.

IBA offers several other scholarships.

Other IBA scholarships include:

  •  $1,000 Illinois Beef Association Scholarship – IBA will award four scholarships: two to high school seniors and two to current college students.
  • $500 Terry Clemons Memorial Scholarship – IBA will award one scholarship to a high school senior planning to major in agriculture in memory of Terry Clemons.
  • $500  Marion Butler Memorial Scholarship – IBA will award one scholarship to a high school senior in memory of 1990 IBA President Marion Butler.
  • $500 Ogle County Scholarship – IBA will award one scholarship to a high school senior and resident of Ogle County.

Applicants must be an Illinois resident who is active in beef production and a current IBA member who plans to attend or is attending a two- or four-year college. An essay is also required.

All applications are due March 1, 2014.
