Snowfall ahead of “normal” in southeast, central Illinois

The frequent winter storm systems, which have affected central and southeast Illinois over the last several weeks, have resulted in snowfall running well above normal over the area.  In some cases, the totals observed so far, have surpassed the normal for an entire winter!  Last winter, snowfall over much of central Illinois was well below normal through early January.
