United Cooperative offers scholarships

United CooperativeMembers of United Cooperative in Wisconsin can apply for one of 30 $1,000 scholarships.

Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors who pursue majors in agriculture or nonagriculture fields.

To qualify, students must:

  • be an active patron member of United Cooperative, or their or the parent/legal guardian be active members.
  • attend an accredited college, university, or technical school.
  • must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Applicants will be judged on leadership, personal goals, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities and motivation. At least seven of the scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in an agricultural field. At least three of the scholarships will be awarded to a student attending a technical school.

Application and letter of reference are due March 3, 2014.
