Globally the warmest November on record
Despite cooler-than-normal temperatures in North America, the National Climatic Data Center says last month was the warmest November on record for the world. Data shows most of the world’s land areas were warmer than normal with southern Russia, northwest Kazakhstan, southern India recording record warmth.
The month also saw the Super Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines and a devastating tornado outbreak in the Central United States on November 17th.
NCDC says so far, 2013 is on track to tie with 2002 as the 4th-warmest year on record.
