Soybean harvest complete, corn harvest is close

Although small patches of corn and soybeans remain, harvest around the state is mostly complete.  According to the latest Crop and Weather Report, 96 percent of the corn acreage has been harvested, compared with 100 percent last year.  By area, 98 percent is harvested in the north, 96 percent in the central region, and 96 percent in the south.  The average moisture content is 18 percent.

In other crops around the state, 96 percent of the winter wheat acreage has emerged.  Seventy-seven percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.  Pasture conditions are rated 43 percent good to excellent.
