Striving to work with farmers
Karl Brooks is Regional Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Region 7, he says “one of the most important topics on our table right now is to work with the agricultural community to promote the kind of innovation that helps protect water resources and land resources as well.” Brooks says they realize that farmers are good stewards of those resources and they are dedicated to working with them.
Besides nutrient management, they are also working closely with livestock producers to better control discharges from their facilities.
