91% of U.S. corn, 95% of soybeans harvested

USDA says this year’s U.S. corn and soybean harvests are nearly over, but there’s still some work to be done.

As of Sunday, 91% of corn is harvested, compared to 84% a week ago, 99% a year ago and the five year average of 86%.

For soybeans, 95% are harvested, compared to 91% last week, 98% last year and 96% on average.

89% of winter wheat has emerged, compared to 83% a year ago and 85% on average, with 63% of the crop in good to excellent shape, down 2% on the week.

USDA’s final national crop progress and condition report of the season is scheduled for Monday, November 25.
