Missouri harvest progresses in dry weather

Dry weather helped Missouri’s harvest progress last week.  The state’s corn harvest advanced to 77 percent complete as of this past Sunday. Corn moisture has declined to 16.4 on average. The condition of Missouri corn was 45% good to excellent, 32% fair, and, 23% poor to very poor.

Soybean harvest took a big jump this past week as 51 percent was completed. Most of the crop is in fair to good shape while 28 percent is in poor conditions.

The cotton harvest progressed to 26 percent complete, but is still three weeks behind normal. The rice harvest is 89 percent complete but also about three weeks behind normal.
