77% of U.S. soybeans, 59% of corn harvested

USDA reports the U.S. soybean harvest is now back at the five year average pace, while corn harvest is very close to “normal”.

As of Sunday, 98% of corn has reached maturity, compared to 100% this time last year and the five year average of 97%, while 59% is harvested, compared to 91% a year ago and 62% on average. 62% of U.S. corn is in good to excellent condition, up 2% on the week.

98% of soybeans are dropping leaves, compared to 99% both last year and on average, and 77% is harvested, compared to 86% a year ago and 77% on average.

86% of winter wheat is planted, compared to 87% last year and 85% on average, while 65% has emerged, compared to 61% a year ago and 64% on average. 61% of winter wheat is rated good to excellent, down 4% on the week.

38% of U.S. pastures and rangelands are in good to excellent shape, compared to 40% a week ago and 21% a year ago.
