Fox River Valley Ethanol, which purchased the former Utica Energy Ethanol plant, held a ribbon cutting ceremony today to market the pending reopening of the plant.
Fox River is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ace Ethanol. Brian Jennings, executive vice president for the American Coalition for Ethanol praised Ace Ethanol for its efforts to get the plant up and running again.
Robert Sather, co-founder of Ace Ethanol, says the plant will employ 40 to 45 people and will not only produce nearly 50 million gallons of ethanol a year but will provide high protein livestock feed, produce corn oil and provide CO2 and dry ice for the beverage industry.
