Nebraska dairy farmers relish opportunity to help tell ag’s story

Dean and Ann Engelman, along with other family members, run Classic Dairy, a 950-cow dairy operation near Jansen in southeast Nebraska. 

At the recent Nebraska Dairy Convention, we visited with the Engelmans about different aspects of their dairy farm, including their roles in the operation, ensuring cow comfort, increasing milk production, marketing their product and finding good help.  We also learned that Classic Dairy is one of the farms featured on the Farmers Feed Us web site and that the Engelmans relish the opportunity to help tell agriculture’s story to the non-farming public.
