Drought in Ohio, “alleviated”
Ohio’s State Climatologist, Jeff Rogers describes drought conditions in Ohio as not being over, but rather, alleviated.
“It has certainly been alleviated, I think is probably a better word to use,” said Rogers. “It’s pretty much gone away, but there’s no guarantee it’s gone yet and we won’t really have a good for that until we get a little further into the spring, because winter precipitation is not really a good predictor of spring.”
For now though, the State Climatologist believes the growing season in Ohio will be off to a fair start for 2013.
