Global Dairy Trade prices increase again

The bi-weekly Global Dairy Trade auction in New Zealand on Tuesday saw the average price of all products increase 2.4 percent from the last auction. This is the fourth sale in a row with an average increase and the highest average price increase since last September.

Only one product, cheddar cheese saw a decline from that last sale and that was just 0.1 percent. Skim milk powder increase a half-percent, milk protein concentrate increased 1.2 percent, rennet casein was 3.3 percent higher, butter milk powder was up 3.7 percent, whole milk powder increased 5.4 percent and anhydrous milk fat jumped 7.2 percent from the January 16th sale. There were no lactose sales.
