State tax deadline extended for Indiana’s farmers

Indiana’s farmers and fishermen will have a little longer to pay their taxes this year.  Earlier this month the Internal Revenue Service announced it would not penalize farmers unable to file and pay their 2012 taxes by the March 1 deadline due to the IRS delayed start for filing tax returns.

The Indiana Department of Revenue announced today Indiana will follow suit, allowing farmers and fishermen to file and pay their state taxes by April 15, 2013.
