Brownfield’s Julie Harker interviews Rob Kolb, GEA Farm Technologies

You will find a lot of equipment for crop production on the show floor at the 2013 Ag Connect Expo but that’s not all. Rob Kolb of GEA Farm Technologies, who is also an official spokesperson for AG CONNECT, says they are primarily a livestock business with a focus on dairy, “We have milking equipment, manure equipment, free stalls, ventilation, cow comfort – full service on the dairy side is really where we’re trying to come from.”

Kolb says they’re showcasing their new teat dipping system, “It’s an efficiency thing. It’s a unit that can apply teat dip in an automated process instead of having that done manually.”

Kolb, who is chair of AEM’s Ag Sector Board, says this year’s show location in the Midwest is conducive to having a lot more attendees.  Being able to meet one-on-one with potential customers at a show like this is “Second to none:,” adding, “There’s no better scenario than that.”
